Poem.

Bright light, o bright light,
you once shone great,
without even using an ounce of your might.

But where have you gone, bright light o bright light?

Leaving behind darkness,
enveloped in emptiness,
Filling up my heart.

But why'd you go, bright light o bright light?

Without you I couldn't see,
what was becoming of me,
so I tripped and fell,
losing sight,
of what was right.

And then it began to rain,
but there was no water.
I began to feel pain,
but there was no answer from any doctor.
I wasn't seen,
nor was I heard.

So I made a choice, bright light o bright light.

To try to change, wait, and see,
what would become of me.
To stay impervious to nihilism and loneliness,
and await the death of this darkness.
To wait for you to shine again,
bright light o bright light.

Because its always darkest before dawn.

so this is what its like to wear a mask.

Of scaling roofs and flat tires.

I really have to charge my camera.
Went out with Brian the other day to go pick up Basil from tuition.
And on the way back, we hit a flat tire.
And like the good co-pilot I was, I helped him change the tire.
Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful day...
Except for the fact that my parents' room was somehow locked, and me and my maid had to climb in through the front roof to unlock the door.
(Don't ask why it was locked in the first place.)

Was pretty boring today, slept early last night.
Slept through most of the day....
Still haven't charged my camera....
And then I watched not one, but TWO Indiana Jones movies...
So much fun.....

anyways, yea that's all I got. Till the next post.

The test is over, the article's in.

The IACS New South Wales English test was no joke.
You can die standing. Literally.
Most of the questions' answers all seemed correct.
Thank you God for the standard of english in our schools....
thankyouthankyouthankyou.....
*fingers crossed*
hope I pass.

Had ceramah today in the hall about B.M. and how to score on the subject.
Was very the good, if you overlook the constant shushes and the dictator-like speaker.
I'm most probably going to their seminar this coming Sunday.
Going to have to break it to the leaders...
Oh yeah, the article got in!
Pn. Paramjeet didn't say she was impressed (dammit) but she said it was very good.
Just had a few minor errors to correct.
But she said its definitely going in.
I have you two, Cher Haow and Choon Hon to thank.
If it wasn't for stoning in Starbucks, eating hawker food in neighbourhood, and potting balls in the snooker center (cough cough) this article would have probably still have been in progress.

Had back to back classes today after school, piano and mod maths tuition.
Soooo tired....well not THAT tired...but still tired.
On a random note, I think we're getting a new art teacher.

Its about damn time.

Give me a sign.

First time for everything.

I'm writing an article for the school magazine!
Or at least...I'm going to submit one...*fingers crossed* hope it gets through.

So I've been thinking a lot...this entire week, about what to write for that article.
A lot's influenced me this entire week.
I saw a few things this week I hope to never see again.
I saw a few things that I wished I could see more of.

Maybe one of the reasons I haven't been able to write so much lately, is because I was going to write something good.
I lost my source of inspiration to write quite some time back.
I don't think I've found it again,
but at least its getting me through this tough one.

Hope it gets through.

Some do, others don't.

School's been pretty fast moving of late.
Lately it seems like time's just slipping by fast and faster with each passing day.
The only subjects that actually seem to make sense at the moment are:
English
Mod Math
Prinsip Akauns
Science (not so much as the three above)

and that's about half the subjects I'm taking.
The rest don't make sense.
Or at least total sense.
Better kick it into gear soon.

Don't glance. Gaze.

A time will come when we all have to make a decision.
One of many.
That time will come soon.

There will come a time, where we should do nothing, but look up.
Look up and not to your sides where you'll see others and grow envious.
Look up and see things for what they are.
Look up and remember what's important, not urgent.

There are countless stars in the skies.
All you need to do is look up.
All we need to do is look up.
All I need to do is look up.

Because if we don't, we just might miss everything.
Face the world with and upward stare, and you just might survive it.

Make the decision, make the call.
And if you wonder how much time we have left?

Not much.

Just thought I'd do one of these posts once in a while. :)

Take the blue pill!

Gah....the sore throat's been hacking away at me....
At least its better now...
As promised, here are the pics from career day at our school.
There were people coming from Sunway University College to talk to us about Hospitality and Tourism along with Culinary arts.
One of the speakers talking to us about flaretending. In case any of you reading didn't know what the heck that is, its to serve up drinks in style, you know, with all the spinning and tossing of the bottles.
Next thing you know, he started giving us examples of the tricks he teaches his students at Sunway which was awesome. Left me and Desmond tossing our bottles back in class which got us into trouble with Pn. Paramjeet.

There were two chefs that came, and both definitely looked the part. One was Chef Joyce and the other was Chef Soon.

Chef Joyce was explaining to us how she teaches her students pastry and baking and demonstrated to us how to decorate our own cupcakes. Which...I....won't....be...doing....anytime....soon. (Me no likey bakey cupcakeys. Me likey eating them onlys)
She had a few ready-made ones and each one of them looked great! She had different types of decorations on each one of them

When she was showing us how to decorate the cupcakes, Chef Joyce also let us try something that felt like play-dough, but is actually the base for creating most of the decorations on the cupcakes.
It did feel like play-dough, only this time we could eat it. I wouldn't mind turning it into a candy.

After the talk and demos were over, the best part came: Yes Chin Wern, if you're reading this you can guess what I'm talking about.
Foood.
Each of us got our own cupcakes to try and it tasted great, aside from the fact the cake was a little dry, and the white-stuff which was made from egg whites still smelt like egg whites.

Yesterday on the way to school, before we could even get past the second petronas, Wei Lun's mom's car's tyre was punctured
Check out the nail in the tyre.
Got to school a little late, but made it just in time.
Stupid Desmond, on the way to class he forced me to take this photo.
Looks more like the sun's setting than rising doesn't it?
Class was a little boring that day and the bad sore throat didn't help one bit.
Making fun of Fara did tho...sorry you lost a few hairs on your arm Fara lol

Went for the career fair with most of the Cina boy gang and for the rest of the day, we were sitting down at booths talking about colleges, and fees, and courses, and etc etc etc.....

But I've finally made my decision.
Crap, Aunty Caroline's going to kill me when she finds out.

get lost in the moment.

Trying not to think and I'm so tired of this deceit.

Sunway University College came to our school today to talk to Penaga and Pulai about culinary arts...
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
I'll have to choose soon.
Have no idea how I'm going to break it to my parents.
Will post up pictures soon.....
Getting very tired lately.
Have to continue working hard (cough cough) but at the same time not risk burning myself out.
And we're not done with the syllabus.
And July test are incoming, opening the gates and letting in all the other exams follow through.
I'd better get this one right.

its getting dim.

Of Sunday dinners and Sunny Mondays...

Went to a quaint and modest little restaurant/grill yesterday called Big Brother in Padang Kota, near Giant.
This is what they usually do when they're hungry. :P

Dad and mom :D

I was expecting pretty typical food you'd expect from a nice grill but when the appetizers came (my dad ordered onion rings and tempura prawns) OMFG.
That's the onion rings

Would you look at the size of that?

and then the tempura prawns showed up....
0.0 about 30% of it was batter but the prawns were still damn huge.

Brian's dish came first:
He ordered the AU GRATIN CHICKEN CHARBROILED MUST-TRY
no, seriously. It was okay only la...it had a sauce which had a slightly funky sourish taste but it was pretty good.

My Char Broiled-Lamb Tower.
Not much of a tower is it? But it still tasted awesome. 2nd best dish of the night. The sauce is the shit (and I mean that in a good way)

Then the best dish of the night came- my mom's baked dory fish covered in special sauce.
Doesn't look that appetising, but my gosh, it was awesome. The sauce is seriously to die for and the dory was breaded and baked just nicely....best dish there in my book, next time I go, that's mine.
Dad had fish and chips and Basil and chicken chesse rice, both so-so only.
But I still didn't expect to find such a place which serves awesome food.
I noticed that they garnished all their dishes with paprika on the rim of the plates....
I wonder why....

Had no PJ today because of the career talk we had.
It answered some of my questions but it wasn't worth going through watching the senamrobik demonstration today.
If they really wanted us to keep fit, they would've let us play sports...=.=
Haiz, got maths tuition and piano tommorow....and Desmond's coming over...again.

Till the next post, au revoir.

I'm beginning to lose sight of that light.

Interior deco

Today played drums for church for the last time in a long time....
a bit potong la, the congregation like no mood oso.
I'm going to miss sitting behind those loud noisemakers....

They had a birthday celebration for all those born in the month of July
Brought my mom's chocolate cake which was gone faster than you can say "death by chocolate".

Just a few of the july babies, from left: Daniel, Mr. Koh, and Chris

Had a quick ChristClan meeting and we discussed our plans for christmas.
We're planning something more comical this year lol.
Ever wonder what it'd look like if we put Joseph (yes Jesus's dad) in a game like who want's to be a millionaire?
Just imagine...

Went out for lunch with Daniel and Jessie at Mano Mega Curryhouse.
Lol Jessie was looking at the store across the street selling tiles....
Roti telur!

Pretty much made a clean sweep of most of the stores which had to do with interior deco on that row,
Before going on to the rest...
I lost count how many times we walked up the stairs =.=

Wow....now I remember why I don't go shopping with my mum for stuff like this anymore...
School's on tommorow, and guess what always happens on monday...
PJ!!!!!
Time to play football again...lol last week for the first time ever, I scored two goals.
And not to be racist or anything, but I'm the only chinese guy playing there....
I asked Cv to join me tommorow, to even the playing field a little lol.
Composition has to be passed up tommorow...I "forgot" to pass it up on friday...shit.
Paramjeet's not going to be happy.
So much for being AJK B.I.

Till the next post.

I'm begginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Its finally done....

Art project is finally done....
brought my camera to school the other day for fun, and took a few random pics here and there...
Especially during perhimpunan, Desmond told me to look up and saying he wished he had a camera, I took mine out and snapped a few pics of the sky.
Pretty, ain't it?

Wei Lun, Desmond, and his cousin came over today so we could go over to the new cyber cafe near my house in the Cova called Jawbreakerx.
Desmond was immediately hooked.
We played Left4dead for about an hour and a half and my head began to hurt....
Lol but Desmond and Wei Lun were still going at it.
I still remember when I could sit at the computer playing for hours on end.
I'm getting old.

Me and Wei Lun left early while Desmond and his cousin were still playing in the cc.
Got home and decided to give my room a good clean.
Cooked dinner and since it was a cool night, decided to take a trip to the park with Desmond and his cousin.
It was fun.
I can't remember the last time I went to the playground with a bunch of friends just to talk and laugh and just hang out.
Lol and while we were walking back to Desmond's ride, we were talking about what we'd be like to our kids next time.
You know how our parents reminisce about the old days, saying stuff like:
"You know ah, all we had last time for entertainment were MARBLES!"
or
"Last time we had to WALK to the nearest mall!"

So just imagine what we'd say to our kids next time...
Maybe it'd be something like:
"You know, back in my day, when we wanted to play computer games, we actually had to MOVE our fingers and hands!"
or more like
"Back in my day, we didn't have the luxury of TELEPORTING ourselves to the nearest shopping mall!"

lol.
Now this is what I call a saturday.
Haiz, tommorow's the last time I'm going to be playing drums for church till December.

Music and food on the go.

Finally finished seni project today!!!
After two weeks of work, work, and nothing more but work, its finally done!
Speaking of which, En. Megat is such a fking opportunist.
He sold us cheap plywood which would normally cost us less than 5 bucks for rm 10.
He just made himself less popular with everyone.
Which just leaves me to question...what is he going to teach us after we're all done with the seni project?
Well, only God knows.

I should bring my camera out with me more....
After tuition Cher Haow gave me a call to go out to Curve for a drink.
And whaddya know, there was a music festival going on there.

The first band that came on was awesome, what with all the beats and their music.
Seriously should have brought my camera.
Ate dinner there and after a few rounds of pool with the fakai, I headed home.

This post would've looked better with pictures don't you think?
I'll post them up next time.
