Went out yesterday to meet up with the gang from church to take photos here and there at the Curve and Ikano.
I was the only guy using a Canon DSLR == Brandon, Shanlynn, and Benedict. lol shanlynn.
Waited for Daniel to show up, cos someone stole his parking spot even though he signalled. Moving on, he showed up, and he went on our way around Curve taking photos here and there. It was the first time in a long time since I stopped using Manual mode on the 350D. It was a little weird, not playing with shutter speeds and aperture, but who was I kidding? Still dunno how to use properly lorh. So forgive some of the photos if they look a little off, cos I switched to P mode.
I just love Christmas decor, no matter where I am.
The cupids were a little weird though. There wasn’t a Santa in sight. They had this cool harp placed in the centre Shanlynn and John
And I failed at taking those type of shots where you try to get a reflection of yourself 1/2 fail. Fail. Double-fail.
The harpist was actually pretty cool, but you could hardly hear what she was playing. Only when I was this close to her taking this shot, I could hear her playing “The First Noel”.
I forgot that that day was a public holiday. Curve was so packed.
We wanted to take photos of the decor outside, but the weather just wasn’t in our favour. ==
But we took advantage of the rain Daniel was busy giving Shanlynn a few tips here and there for rain shots.
Its actually been raining heavily a lot lately don’t you think? Up or down? Which do you think is better? Was so friggin hard to take capture the water splashing in this small pot.
Didn’t take that many photos in Curve so we headed to Ikano Oh, there was a choir at Ikano singing Christmas classics. I laike =D Can anyone spot the dead fish?
LOL BRANDON LAU AND 50MM NIKON LENS HOMG
The rain had stopped by the time we were done shooting, so we headed BACK to Curve to take shots of the outdoor decor The sign said it all.
So we all took it upon ourselves to get Daniel a new dp cos his old one was getting, well, old. This shot’s a little… um ‘off’.
Then Lau wanted a new dp too ==
And so, we all said our goodbyes, cos everyone had to go off, cept me and Ben. So the both of us stayed on, trying to get tickets to watch Avatar in Cineleisure. But we failed. Big time == So we tried the next best thing. We walked to 1 Utama. DAIIIIIII
Luckily we got tix to watch it in TGV. Never go there people. Seriously, GSC’s the place to go to watch. TGV’s like your break glass in case of emergency scenario, and this was that sort of scenario. Managed to book tickets on the fly and had a quick dinner.
Stopped by Sticky to take a few pics Had some free samples to try. They were pretty nice, looks like some sushi shaped candy doesn’t it? Apparently its apple flavour. They also had these huge hunks of unfinished product for sale at like 8 bucks. Thinking of buying that for some people for Christmas. Would make an interesting gift.
Its been a while since I last had a candy cane, but for that matter, its been ages since I really indulged in candy o.o
Ben’s right. All the colourings and flavours make it look like some whimsical lab.
After dinner, we finally watched AvatarIT WAS FRIGGING DA AWE-SOME. James Cameron must’ve gone all out, waiting 10 years for the tech to arrive huh? CG was amazing, but the story’s a little predictable la. I recommend watching it in 3D, even though I didn’t.
Took the bus home and by the time I got to Petronas, it was about a little over 10.30, there were plenty of cars passing by, it was night time, so I tried doing light trail shots, but failed miserably. No tripod, lazy to go all the way back and come back out, go figure =D
Until the next post readers, Au Revoir
