Remembrance.

Its been pretty much 12 years since my grandmum (mum’s side) left.

I roughly remember what it was like when she passed away. It was the first time I dealt with the death of a loved one. Back then I was only 5 (for those of you who didn’t bother to do the math) I can still vaguely remembered how sad everyone was, the roses we dropped onto her coffin as they buried her. Back then, death and loss were subjects that never really hit home with me. Now more than ever, I know what it means. Visited her grave the day my mum was leaving for Australia. Had to wake up at 6.30 to leave to avoid the jam on the way to Nilai Memorial Park.

I don’t remember what the sky was like when she passed away. I wish I did though. It was always a tradition in our family to visit her grave every year, just a little sad that not every member can make it.

Lately I’ve been wondering how our concept of time is so false, not appreciating the fact that we’re still here when in reality, time’s slipping like grains of sand in the palm of our hands – its always been that way. Its just most of us choose to ignore that fact.

Taking myself for instance – I’ve been here for 17 years now. Kindergarten, primary school, and secondary seem so far away now, almost like distant memories. And SPM’s over. So many things have come to an end but so many more things have yet to begin. And before I know it they’ll be over. I kind of regret not appreciating school as much as I should’ve in the past, but there’s nothing I can do about that.

So now I’m going to make it a point, to try and savour every moment I spend, as much as possible.

Because the more I think about it, life’s really worth living.

Bah, blog about this first la.

Went out with Joee, her bro Shaun, Yih Ling and Keamsunn yesterday. CV WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE. Bah, but he had to go to Sunway Uni ==

Took the bus to Curve a little early, only to realise no one I knew was there yet. So I basically ended up walking back and forth in Ikano and Curve until I ended up in Ikea to get an ice-cream cone. Funny story, just as I was about to leave for probably Tesco (for who knows what ==) Joee called and she was in Ikea di.

Oops outta focus…sorry! Met up with Joee and her bro, Shaun, AND WE HAD LUNCH THERE HOMG.

When I met up with them, I was still working on my ice-cream cone so we waited for Keamsunn before we lined up to order. In the meanwhile Joee tried her hand at using my cam.

Then Keamsunn arrived, followed by Chen. He was basically 50% of where all our fun came from that day. Forgot to take Chen’s pic when she got there cos we were already lining up to get our food

Keamsunn didn’t eat cos of a late breakfast. Halfway while chatting, the random topic of what we used to look like when we were younger came up and before you knew it, we were taking out our IC’s and school library cards.

Had a few drinks and we headed over to Keamsunn’s car to go to One U to watch Love Happens. But it wasn’t just any ordinary walk. We stopped by some the Ikea showroom items to ‘have a look’. XD

Lol don’t ask where the Mcd balloon came from. It just happened to be there.

Oh, and I got Chen a new dp, not that she’s asking for it yet. You like?

Keamsunn suddenly got hungry and went to Mcd to get his lunch ==

Made our way to One U and nearly crashed the car twice or once….

On our way to GSC we came across a year-end sale and we laughed. Here’s why. lololololol

Oh, we bumped into Hamdan at the movies

We had about an hour till the movie started so we walked around OU looking for things to shoot. Well, at least I did, the girls went shopping, Keamsunn and Shaun went to the arcade for dakei

oh yea, they met up with santa on the way They had a lot of interesting stuff around the new wing for Christmas.

We walked around more and found some mini game convention. JENGA.

There was also this game called Pictureka! Looked pretty awesome, by the looks of the artwork I’d love to have that as a wallpaper. Or to place on my ceiling.

Walked around even more till Joee decided to try on some of the hats at Kitschen

Finally…..after all that walking and stoning and playing large-life-sized games, we made it to the movies!

LOL KEAMSUNN.

It was actually a good movie. Definitely better than watching New Moon anyday.

Had fun that day, coming back. We were screaming for half the journey back in Keamsunn’s car for various reasons, some of which involved being late, almost colliding with another car, keamsunn’s drinking while driving.

Had to rush home for dinner with the parents cos Mom and Basil were leaving for Melbourne the next day. Dinner was good, the photos not so. MY BUILT IN FLASH IS NOT WORKING SO SUE ME.

So that’s pretty much what happened yesterday. Getting the camera fixed in time for the Christmas party, going to take photos around the Curve tomorrow with the gang from church, and lots more. Updating on those and things before soon!

Long time no see.

I bet you visited the blog expecting to see my last post which was ages ago didn’t you?

Well, don’t you readers worry, I have plenty to update on! Starting first with some of the stuff I did prior to my last few papers of SPM. Went out a few days before the 1st of Dec to One Utama to check out the Secret Garden. For those of you who don’t know where that is, its only accessible by the elevators opposite Burger King in New Wing. Its either the left or right elevator…I forgot :P

Anyway, Desmond and Wei Lun tagged along, and the garden was pretty nice. They didn’t have almost every flower you could find in Malaysia, but they sure had a lot of em. I just love Christmas, don’t you?

They actually had fruits up there. POMEGRANATES

It was pretty sunny and hot but it just made it easier to take photos of the plants and flowers

By the time I was done taking photos, it was getting pretty hot. So we headed down back to take a walk around

During that time, they were getting the Christmas deco all set up. I love going to the malls during Christmas XD

We headed up to the arcade to let off a little steam. We did have accounts that coming Monday, so what the heck. And on the topic of money, they had this new machine in the arcade, which is just about as good as wasting your money. It was irrelevant to me at that time, cos I somehow got Desmond and Wei Lun to spend their last two tokens on that machine. Sorry X)

Bah, we had fun nonetheless.

Eric joined up with us at the arcade, and we all decided to take a walk around to see what we could shoot. With the camera. lol

We walked around the New Wing and we came across this: Stoopid eric, getting in the way of the shot….I NEED MY FLASH FIXED. Either that or get an external.

After we were done, we said goodbye to Eric and headed to the bus stop. It was a pretty routine ride till we realised it was taking us over 30 minutes to reach Palm Springs from One-U. Turns out the intersection near Palm Springs was flooded. I had my camera with me, go figure.

After we go past that, it was smooth sailing all the way. It was fun, laughing at all the cars which were low-built that were headed towards the flood. We all got home and did pretty much the routine thing to do at that time: cycling around acting like 10 year-olds. Fun, I tell you. What came after was also routine: we went to this one spot where you could see the sun setting clearly. Okay it wasn’t THAT clear, but it rained heavily that day, so sue me.
